What Must I Do To Be Saved?

There are five steps to freedom.
The bible teaches that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God” (Romans 10:17). One is not a christian because his parents are. Faith can not be inherited (Ezekiel 18:20). Each person must believe in Jesus Christ for and by himself. Christianity is a religion of teaching (Matthew 28:18-20) and unless one has heard the Gospel and learned that Jesus Christ died for his sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, he cannot be saved (1 cor. 15:1-4). The Apostle Paul wrote: ” How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher! Romans 10:14. One must first hear the Gospel before he can believe it.
Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him,” Hebrews 11:6. John 3:16; Acts 16:31; John 20:31).
When the Bible speaks of believers being saved it means obedient believer and not disobedient ones. Acts 16:34; Acts 2:44; Gal 5:6. Faith alone will not saved,
Jesus said, ” Except ye repent, ye shall all like wise perish.” Luke 13:3-5. What is Repentance? It is a turning away from sin and turning to God. Ezekiel 18:31&32. 1Thes. 1:9. Why? Because” All men” have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Roman 3:23. God commanded all men everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30. God does not wish any to perish, it is His will that all should come to repentance 2 peter 3:9. Reformation of life follows true Repentance. John the Baptist commanded,” Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of Repentance.” Luke 3:8.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my father which is in heaven, but whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven” Matthew 10:32-33. Acts 8:37; Roms 10:9-10)
One is not confessing that he is taking Jesus Christ as his personal saviour, or that God for Christ’s sake has pardoned his sins, but that Jesus is the Christ the son of God. Acts 8:37.
Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins” Acts 2:38. (Mk 16:15-16. Acts 22:16, 1peter 3:21, Gal 3:27) Rom. 6:4, Eph. 4:5, 1cor. 12:13, Col 2:12.
Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death that likes as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life,” Romans 6:4. Col. 2:12)
Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and life.
